Compiling trunk standalone will cause an error saying ndofdev_external.h is missing. This can be solved by manually downloading ndofdev from the link in install.xml and putting ndofdev_external.h in indra/newview, or /usr/local/include to avoid repro's on future builds.
libndofdev.a should go in /usr/local/lib, unfortunatly this will fail on linking on an x86_64 system because it is compiled for x86 and the source is not provided by LL to compile for other arch's.
original source can be downloded from.
and compiled for x86_64 but it is not documented anyware but jira.
ndof should be integrated into the viewer source, be made an optional library, compiled externaly by the develop.py script, or the ndof source should at least be provided LL.
