      Steps to Reproduce

Debugging a LOD issue (see https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/BUG-40626)

      Actual Behavior

The Render Metadata LODInfo tools found on the developer menu are useful when debugging problems. For a long time, I have puzzled over the apparently meaningless number that hovers over objects when this is enabled.
While fixing a LOD related viewer bug I examined this code and found that it is, in fact, nothing to do with LOD and is instead related to the texture pipeline. I have fixed this in Firestorm and a patch will be submitted shortly, I cannot submit the fix to the Lab yet as the contribution agreement webpage is returning an error on the PDF download!

      To recreate the issue
      1) enable the developer menu
      2) select render metadata -> LOD Info (https://gyazo.com/2bb6ff766851b7aa32e8c311e4a80411)
      3) Observe numbers, these will typically be 255, 0 or a low single digit value.
As you move the camera These may change, they do not, however, bear any apparent relation to the LOD.

      Expected Behavior

This display should provide valuable information on the LOD calculation being applied to the object.

      Other information

I have fixed this and will be submitting a patch for review once https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/BUG-40625 has been resolved.

The new display provides relevant information to the LOD process. The distance from the camera, the real and the Biased Radius and the resultant LOD.
