This contribution replaces the current FMOD Ex audio implementation with an FMOD Studio implementation. FMOD Ex has been FMOD’s legacy product for quite some time and it was recently removed from their main download page and placed in their Previous Products category. By upgrading to the newer FMOD Studio we can take advantage of the low level optimizations, bug fixes, and performance improvements advertised by FMOD. Upgrading now will also help to ensure the viewer’s audio compatibility with future OS updates. This implementation has been tested on both Windows and Mac. I do not have a Linux system to test on so the changes for Linux are based on what i believe to be correct.
