      Description

This is an umbrella feature request for making Linux 64-bit into a fully supported platform for binaries. This would include:
      1. Linden Lab-provided native Linux 64-bit builds of the viewer
      2. Linden Lab-provided native Linux 64-bit library bundles for open source developers

This issue is created to collect discussion and justification for this. As of June 2009, Linux 64-bit adoption seems to be running at roughly 24.6% of total Linux desktop users: (Source http://smolt.fedoraproject.org/static/stats/stats.html )

Note: this issue exists to collect and track what would be needed to add 64bit Linux as a supported platform, but at present that is not on the Linden Lab roadmap.
