Steps to Reproduce

• Create a new folder in inventory and name it Test Folder
  This folder can be in root inventory or a subfolder of another folder.

• Add any items into Test Folder.
  Type of items or amount of items do not seem to matter.
  For example, create a new script and some new pants within the folder or copy/paste some items from another folder into Test Folder.

• Relog.

• Open inventory after relogging and scroll to where Test Folder is visible.

  (!) Do not left click on Test Folder
  (!) Do not switch to Recent tab of inventory.

  Observed Behaviour

• The expand arrow for Test Folder will be missing.
  See Fig 1 attached.

• Do not manipulate inventory in any way and wait 10 mins.
  Observe the expand arrow still does not appear.

• Observe Inventory count does not display at this stage either and will still not be displaying 10 mins later.
  Related?
  Fig 1 also shows my inventory count not displaying.

The problem can be fixed in 2 ways

1. Left click on Test Folder.

• As soon as you left click it, inventory count will appear and show "Fetching..." and the expand arrow will then appear.

• Inventory count disappears as soon as the folder has loaded its contents though - see below for how to fix the missing inventory count.

• See Fig 2 attached.

• As soon as the contents of Test Folder have loaded and the expand arrow appears, logs show:

  2015-06-10T04:22:15Z INFO: LLInventoryModelBackgroundFetch::setAllFoldersFetched: Inventory background fetch completed

2. Switch to Recent tab of Inventory.

• As soon as you switch to the Recent tab, inventory count will appear and remain showing normally for the rest of the session.

• Switch back to main inventory tab and observe that the contents of Test Folder have now fetched & the expand arrow is visible.

• Fig 3 attached shows Test Folder contents correctly loaded & inventory count correctly displaying after toggling to Recent tab.

• Again, as soon as you switch to the Recent tab, logs show

  Expected Behaviour

• Folders created the previous session should load their contents/display expand arrows without needing to left click them or switch to Recent tab of inventory.

• Inventory count should display without needing to switch to Recent tab of inventory.

  Other Information

• Also reproduces on http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Release_Notes/Second_Life_Release/3.7.28.300924

• This reproduces 100% of the time for me on all accounts I tested on.
  Whirly has a large (109k) inventory but my alts have small inventories (3k-10k).

• Also reproduces on Firestorm viewer after our last merge up to Tools update.
  Other Firestorm beta testers can reproduce the same problem so I do not think it's anything wonky with my accounts inventory.
