Steps to Reproduce

I was observign this issue - bug being at land=parcel, owned by group in which I have abilities like owner of the group.

Actual Behavior

When i open ABOUT LAND window, OPTIONS tab, using viewer Second Life 3.7.27 (300636) , then option Safe( no damage ) is untickable - inactive.
I am not able to turn it on, neither turn it off. It is simply inactive. I belong to group that owns the land and i am in the role equivalent to owner role, that means: all abilities in the group have been assigned to me.

Expected Behavior

So far using earlier version of an official viewer Second Life, i did not observe such issue. It is the first time i can see problem with enabling/disabling safe ( no damage).
Please remember that parcel owner or , member of the group that owns the parcel in the role with appropirate abilitiy, can always enable or disable safe(no damagae) option regardless estate settings made by estate onwer/manager. Becasue Allow damagae in region/estate window, enbales damage on al region = overrides settings fo parcels' owners.
So even if Allow damage in estate/region window is unchecked, then each owner of the parcel is able to enable/disable damage option on his/her parcel And now using this viewer Second Life 3.7.27 (300636) , it is impossible and hence it is a bug=issue.

Heya Olivia,

Yep, this is a bug which started on the version of the viewer you are currently using.
Please see BUG-9098.

The only workaround for now is to get the estate owner/manager to enable "Allow Damage" at the estate level, use an earlier version of the Linden Viewer or use a TPV which has not picked up this bug.

Hello Whirly ) Thank You for Your comment, I appreciate that. Yesterday i was trying ask ppl in second Life Beta group whether they have noticed such issue, but they wanted to convince me that it was not a bug, that damage must be always enabled in estate/region window. But as you also confirm that is not the truth, it is a obvious and clear bug. Yes i realise workarounds; using other earlier viewer or Firestorm ) or other tpv. Addiotnally eo or em can use Allow damage at the state level, but that makes enabling damagae on the whole region and that is absolutely unacceptable, unless person owns all region.
Ok Thank you so much i just needed confirmaiton that this issue has been detected and confirmed and maybe someone works on it to solve it. Have a nice day !

Welcome :)

Not sure who you spoke to in SL beta, but its definitely a bug (or an undocumented behaviour change from LL - though I doubt this because they would have made that change at the server level).
We have always been able to toggle damage/safe on the parcel level when Allow Damage was disabled at the estate level.

The behavior described here is the correct expected behavior
