WARNING: Test with an unimportant alt. You will lose saved outfits

Steps to Reproduce

  • Open Inventory -> My Outfits

  • Choose any saved outfit, lets name it "Bug Test"

  • Right click Bug Test -> Replace current outfit.

  • Open Current Outfit folder.

  • Observe in Current Outfit folder that you see all items in this outfit plus the folder link to the worn outfit - see Fig 1 attached

  • Within the Current Outfit folder, drag the folder link (the folder named Bug Test) ontop of the Current Outfit folder.

  • When I originally reproduced this, it was a simple misclick, which is easy done.

Observed

  • You now have an extra folder named "Bug Test" within the Current Outfit folder containing links to everything worn.
  • This folder is actually the saved outfit folder for "Bug Test" which has moved from the My Outfits folder into COF.
  • See Fig 2 attached.
  • Observe that, in COF, if you right click the Bug Test folder link -> Find Original, the Bug Test outfit folder within COF is highlighted.

Expected

  • You should not be able to accidently drag the worn folder link in the current outfit folder into the current outfit folder.
  • This was not possible on earlier viewer builds.

  • Within the Current Outfit Folder, right click the new Bug Test folder -> Remove from current outfit

Observed

  • The new Bug Test outfit folder disappears from the Current Outfit folder.

  • All attachments and clothing is removed from the avatar - you are just left wearing the skin, shape, hairbase and eyes.

  • See Fig 3 attached.

  • The original Bug Test saved outfit folder has been permanantly deleted and it is not in Trash.

  • Relog and observe the original Bug Test outfit is still not anywhere in inventory.

  • If you set DebugHideEmptySystemFolders to FALSE before relogging, observe that the Bug Test outfit folder is still present in COF, but it's now an empty system folder so it's hidden by default.

  • See Fig 4 attached.

  • Within the My Outfits folder, choose another saved outfit folder (named Test 1) and drag the outfit folder into the Current Outfit folder.

Observed

  • You are able to drag the Test 1 saved outfit folder into the current outfit folder.

  • The Current Outfit folder now contains this outfit subfolder of unworn links.

  • See Fig 5 attached.

  • If you right click the Test 1 outfit folder within COF -> Replace current outfit and then Remove from current outfit, the Test 1 outfit folder will be deleted and bypass going to Trash.

  • If you try to correct your mistake and instead try to drag or copy/paste the Test 1 outfit from COF back into the My Outfits folder, you cannot.
There is no Copy option available and you cannot drag the folder into My Outfits because of the MAINT-2018 changes.

  • To save this outfit you need to use an earlier viewer build without the MAINT-2018 changes or recreate the outfit.

    Other Information

Im not sure when this problem started but

  • Bug does reproduce on http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Release_Notes/Second_Life_Release/3.7.15.293253

  • Bug does not reproduce on http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Release_Notes/Second_Life_Release/3.6.9.282553

  • On http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Release_Notes/Second_Life_Release/3.6.9.282553 and earlier builds, if you attempt to drag an outfit folder from My Outfits to COF, nothing happens - the outfit folder is not moved into COF.
