Steps to Reproduce

changing clothes

Actual Behavior

I have a Mesh avi that has been working fine until last night. Now its like there is two bodies on one avi, however when I look in the Worn and wearing it is not showing anything extra. When I got into appearance and edit clothing the extra seems to come off in my view but to others it is still messed up and once I log out or tp the extra body/clothing appears. I have even deleted the outfit that is visible and still nothing happens. I have rebaked, I have done the avatar health that takes the avi to original newbie av and the outfit is still there.

Expected Behavior

I expected the first outfit to come off and the new one to apply

On the "Worn" tab, is there an item called "Invisible Avatar" with an icon that looks like a white T-shirt with a grid of lines on it? If there ISN'T that or something with that icon and a similar name, you're not wearing the "alpha" that is necessary to hide the old default avatar when you're wearing a mesh avatar.

MsBehaven69, if Theresa's advice doesnt help you, please can you open your inventory and in the inventory search bar, search for "Current Outfit" (without the quotes).
Do you have more then one folder named "Current Outfit" in the search results?

I spoke to MsBehaven inworld.
She has 2 Current Outfit folders (plus other system folders are also duplicated).

This is the 2nd case of 2 COFs within a few days - the first was at BUG-7880

MsBehaven69, LL can fix this for you by running an inventory repair to remove the double system folders.
The problem you are having with your avatar is caused by having 2 current outfit folders. Once the extra COF is removed, your avatar will be back to normal.

It's a Linden holiday because of Thanksgiving so your JIRA issue may not be seen until Monday. You can file a support ticket at https://support.secondlife.com/create-case/
Give them this JIRA issue (https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/BUG-7920) and tell them your avatar is failing to bake correctly because you have 2 current outfit folders and duplicates of other system folders and request an inventory repair.

MSBehaven69 are you still a cloud, or has this issue resolved for you?

If not please can you try the following:

Open your inventory and the open your "My Outfits" folder.
Choose any outfit folder there, right click it -> Replace current outfit. Your avatar should then rez.
If that does not help then go to Me -> Choose an avatar and pick any of those avatars by clicking on select.
Does your avatar then rez? If so, you should be able to get dressed in your usual avatar.

If you are still having problems, please see http://community.secondlife.com/t5/English-Knowledge-Base/Troubleshooting-avatar-appearance/ta-p/1256955

If you need further help then you should contact LL support directly from: https://support.secondlife.com/contact-support/

Thank you
