Steps to Reproduce

Trying to edit https://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Template:LSL_Function/ParticleSystem

Actual Behavior

Residents can't edit Second Life wiki pages that they were previously able to. (for others affected please see: http://community.secondlife.com/t5/General-Second-Life-Tech/I-cannot-edit-my-SL-wiki-user-page/m-p/2842030/highlight/true#M1582).

Expected Behavior

I expected to be able to edit the wiki page.

Other information

Wiki was made read-only for maintenance. Maintenance has been marked as [Resolved] on
http://status.secondlifegrid.net/2014/10/07/post2378/ but our edit permissions are still disabled.

This has been annoying. There are pages that need updating but no one it seems can do updates. For example, http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Viewerhelp:Statistics . Has both obsolete and incomplete info.

There is a lot of scattered but important info that is getting lost or difficult to find because it is not getting consolidated where it is readily search-able.

For example when trying to edit page: https://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Viewerhelp:Statistics there is the following result.

"You do not have permission to edit this page, for the following reasons:

The action you have requested is limited to users in the group: Administrators.
You do not have permission to edit pages in the Viewerhelp namespace.

You can view and copy the source of this page:"

I've heard "All wiki pages are still locked with no time frame for when the underlaying security issues will be addressed."

If the nature of the security issue allows, could a group (say: 'volunteers') be created & populated with edit privs and the usual gang of resident wiki tenders to tide us over during the interim?

Just in case, if the problem really is that updating all the various mediawiki extensions results in breaking LSL Portal content, I will fix the content. Don't worry about breaking stuff.

Wiki edits are intentionally disabled, currently: http://status.secondlifegrid.net/2014/10/15/post2378/

There should be an update at http://status.secondlifegrid.net when this functionality is restored
