How would you like the feature to work?

Firestorm has a neat "area search", great for finding items in a region but what if they're not in that region.

I'd like to see a dialog that presents the results of a query that then lists all my rezzed objects and their location, region and coordinates. Any other useful info might be nice but something like this to be able to find stray objects would be very helpful.

Why is this feature important to you? How would it benefit the community?

I have a dance system, it's no copy. It is full of motion captured animations and is worth about $300 USD. If I rez that somewhere where there's no auto return and forget where, I have NO way to find out where it's rezzed! If it gets sent back to lost and found, I might not see it, especially if IM's happen to be capped and i'm offline when it happens.

Now, in the case of my dance system, I have added a script that reports to me its location and it does this only when i'm online. That saves this one item but this shouldn't be necessary for every item that is like this.

There are also various instances where detaching something from an avatar has had it sent to the region 0,0,0 location. Sometimes i've found other peoples no copy items in my region. I'm sure they'd rather an option to be able to find them.

Could help people who forget where they left vehicles (for those that are no copy) or whatever. It's a simple dialog addition and a simple query.
