Steps To Reproduce

• Delete/rename the Secondlife settings folder so you are on default settings for ease of repro steps.

• Login on the Maintenance RC viewer (http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Release_Notes/Second_Life_Release/3.7.3.287491) or any build that contains the fix for "MAINT-3374 It is no longer possible to have only display names showing in chat when using Compact mode."

• Observe that agents names display in group/IM/nearby chat in the form Display Name (Username) when using both compact and expanded view. This is correct behaviour at default settings.

• Go to Me -> Preferences -> General -> Untick "Usernames" -> Ok

• Now observe that agent names display in group/IM/nearby chat in the form Display Name only when using both compact and expanded view. This is correct behaviour. The case where only displaying agents display names was broken in compact view was fixed in MAINT-3374.

• Relog

  Observed Behaviour

• After relog, agents names display correctly in group/IM/nearby chat in the form Display Name only when using expanded view.
  

• However, agents names display incorrectly in group/IM/nearby chat in the form Display Name (Username) when using compact view.
  

• Under Preferences -> General, tick "Usernames" and then untick "Usernames" and observed that now only Display Names are correctly shown in chats again when using compact mode until you relog.

  Expected Behaviour

  When usernames is unticked under Preferences -> general, only display names should display in chats when using both expanded and compact view and this setting should persist after a relog.
