Steps to Reproduce

Testing fitted mesh products. Trying on demos.

Actual Behavior

2 dress demos purporting to be fitted mesh, 1 stretches to 0,0,0 (see snapshots)

Blue dress doesn't stretch to 0,0,0 whether ALM is on or off.
Red checkered dress stretches to 0,0,0 when ALM is off. Only disabling either Atmosphere Shaders or Hardware Skin removes the stretch when ALM is disabled.

Expected Behavior

Expecting rigged mesh and/or fitted mesh to not stretch to 0,0,0 whether ALM is enabled or not.

I mentioned on FITMESH-20 that it was fixed using Second Life 3.7.0 (285669) Jan 24 2014 22:53:30 (Second Life Release)

So this appears to be a regression of FITMESH-6/FITMESH-20 ?

Willow said FITMESH-6/FITMESH-20 were fixed on 3.7.0 (285669) Jan 24 2014 22:53:30 (Second Life Release)
But the problem is back on Second Life 3.7.1 (286557) Feb 11 2014 21:01:25 (Second Life Release)

Linking as related to BUG-5139
The repro mesh for BUG-5139 is broken for Willow whether ALM is enabled or disabled.
The repro mesh for this issue is only broken when ALM is disabled.

Also note that Willow is on the latest Catalyst 13.12 driver.

Further investigation.
I went back to Second Life 3.7.0 (285669) Jan 24 2014 22:53:30 (Second Life Release) to test the same items again.

The (Milk Motion) check loose dress DEMO stretches to 0,0,0 with ALM disabled. Disabling either AS or HS removes the stretch.

When I commented on FITMESH-20 that I thought it was fixed, I was testing with the demo from the Fitted Mesh video LL released.
Demo here https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/CR-Oh-So-Cozy-Semi-Exclusive-DEMO/5517233

But it doesn't come with an alpha layer. Same dress demo but with an alpha layer can be found
https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Bijou-Oh-So-Cozy-D-E-M-O/5544542 or
https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/allberries-oh-so-cozy-DEMO/5567029

So this appears to have something to do with the product itself and rigging and bones, which I know next to nothing about.

Just to add another data point, this bug does not reproduce on my Nvidia system. The (Milk Motion) check loose dress DEMO displays correctly at all graphics settings.

Updated to add - this issue no longer affects me.
Even with Basic Shaders, Atmospheric Shaders, Hardware Skinning and ALM all disabled, the Milk Motion checkered dress renders properly.

Using Second Life 3.7.7 (289461) Apr 22 2014 13:01:33 (Second Life Release)
and Catalyst Driver Version 14.4 resolves this issue for me.
Added bonus is the line flickering seems to have been fixed as well.

Great news Willow! Do you mind if I close this issue as can't reproduce?

Hey Alexa - I gather this was fixed internally rather than as a result of the updated drivers? I admit I lost track of this one a bit as it had been fixed in Firestorm by Nicky. Whirly poked me about this one again. ;-) I've been more preoccupied recently with https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/BUG-5139 which relates to non-rigged mesh on a fitted mesh enabled viewer.

If this was fixed in the viewer, then yay! Thanks!

Okay Alexa - Not good news. While certain items I tested are now fine, many of the new Library mesh avs are not. Screenshots added. Using Catalyst 14.4 drivers.

Fine with ALM enabled.
Not fine with ALM disabled.
When ALM is disabled, disabling any of Basic Shaders, Atmospheric Shaders or Hardware Skinning removes the stretch to region coordinates 0,0,0.

I just saw this again with 3.7.21.296724 even though the release notes say it is fixed. Also ref https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/STORM-2080

I attached a snapshot to this ticket called "Gibson - 3.7.21.296724" showing the stretch to 0,0,0. ALM was not on at the time. Unfortunately the avatar went offline a second after i took the pic before i could inspect or ask him what he is wearing. I will attempt to get a hold of him in the future try to find out what exactly he was wearing when this bug reproduced again.

All fitted mesh should be fixed with Nicky's fix in Second Life 3.7.21 (296724) but some rigged mesh (not fitted) needs at least the 14.4 catalyst driver version on Windows to fix the problem (BUG-5139). I'm guessing BUG-5139 will still repro for Mac. Possibly fixed with the Yosemite AMD drivers though.

Turns out that the jacket in the pic i took is https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Mesh-Jacket-Leather-Wheat/2737953 . Only turning off hardware skinning got rid of the stretch when i did some testing with it. Does appear to be a case of BUG-5139 after all.
