A checkbox in 'About Land' or 'Region Estate' [1] that allows the land owner to disable avatar-avatar physics interactions / collisions. If enabled avatars will simply glide though each other [2].
[1] depending on decided scope per parcel would obviously be better, but perhaps impractical?
[2] only avatar - static rezzed objects physics still function as normal - eg floor, walls. If this ends up breaking rezzed projectiles, vehicles, pathfinding characters, so be it.
Why is this feature important to you? How would it benefit the community?
This would remove the jostle at crowded shopping events, busy compact locations or dance clubs (where it's not unusual for animations to cause avatars to intersect). Such locations do not benefit from or need avatar-avatar collisions.
Also remove disruption when people using TPV's with avatar rendering disabled walk blindly though a crowd, cluelessly bumping everyone in their path.
Incidental reduction in server load in the process .. maybe.

I haven't encountered a single shopping experience in 15 years that needed, required or benefitted from avatars being able to bump other avatars. The same is true for social and dance clubs.
Even a hacky solution would be perfectly acceptable - the option to reduce the avatar collision volume to the absolute minimum required.
