Information

https://community.secondlife.com/forums/topic/466868-community-events-general

From this forum post it seems events are open to abuse due to lack of a censorship protocol similar to what the forums have in place.

According to:

https://secondlife.com/my/community/events/tos.php?nextpage=%2Fmy%2Fcommunity%2Fevents%2Fedit.php

"The event descriptions need to conform to General guidelines, consistent with the overall Second Life website policy - so no overt sex descriptions; sex for money, sex chat, simulated sex, strong violence, or anything else broadly offensive."

Please add a censorship protocol that replaces infringing words/phrases with "*****" as it does in the forums. This should cover Event Titles, Event Locations & Event Descriptions.

Thanks.

Other Information

Alternatively, offer a Maturity filter tied to region rating so users don't have to see A rated events mixed in with G or M and only censor G & M rated events. Also, update the rules to accommodate this change.

I would also add a.way to flag items as inappropriate such as the system in the Marketplace.  Along with offensive words, there are also adult pictures which would not be included in the censorship of text.

Both the forum and the marketplace have protocol in place for reporting abuse yet none on the Second Life front page, something most people see.
