What just happened?

EEP effects where a rainbow shows have a rainbow with blue on the outside and red on the inside of the curve. The primary rainbow always has the colours with red on the outside of the curve and blue on the inside.

See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rainbow

What were you doing when it happened?

Using an EEP setting that had rainbows and sun halo visible.

See https://community.secondlife.com/knowledgebase/english/environment-editor-r24/#Creating_rainbows

What were you expecting to happen instead?

Rainbow to be correct colour order. Unless it is intended that the rainbow colour order is for a SECONDary rainbow :-)

Other information

I believe that BUG-225787 reporting that the rainbow incorrectly is obscured by clouds is also still an issue.

Note also that the darkening effect on the sky is OUTSIDE the curve of the rainbow, and the area inside the primary rainbow is LIGHTER. In Second Life 6.4.5. 544028 (Love Me Render) with EEP currently the dark sky effect is on the INSIDE of the wrongly ordered colour curve.

Agreed.

It is worth noting that that texture asset provided for default Rainbow has the darkening (and lightening) correctly placed relative to the visible rainbow spectrum. One option is to flip the asset orientation. In the shader code for skies there is explicit mention of the dark sky blending which led me to wonder if the Asset orientation is as intended but that the shader is somehow inverting the direction.
