I'm not sure whether all the issues I bring up on this JIRA are bugs or just a case of things rendering differently on EEP in an expected way, but thought it worth filing this any way to be looked at.
My gifs are taken with graphics settings set to Ultra & with Ambient occlusion & shadows disabled and then toggling ALM.
Shading of In-region water & void Linden water
Observe how on default release, with both ALM enabled & ALM disabled, there is no marked difference in the shading of the water between the in-region Linden water and the void Linden water. The transition is smooth & you cannot see where the in-region water changes to the void water.
Observe that on the EEP viewer, there is a marked difference between the shading of the in-region water and the void water.
This difference is fairly noticeable when ALM is enabled but it's extremely noticeable when ALM is disabled.
The line separating the in-region water & the void water is always noticeable & it looks extremely ugly especially when ALM is disabled & the void water turns a bright neon green.

Steps To Reproduce
Go to location http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Fluffy/203/159/17 and look out over the water.
Compare how the scene renders on EEP viewer Second Life Release 6.4.0.538312 (64bit) and default release viewer https://releasenotes.secondlife.com/viewer/6.3.7.535996.html with both ALM enabled & ALM disabled.
