What just happened?

I added some interests to my profile then realized I wanted to change or remove some of them. When I attempted to do so I discovered that any interest including a quotation mark ( " ) is impossible to delete. The same problem is evident using both the viewer and the settings page on My Second Life.

What were you doing when it happened?

Editing my profile, adding and also attempting to remove some interests. Clicking the X beside an unwanted entry appears to remove it but upon reloading the page any interests which included a " quotation mark are still there.

What were you expecting to happen instead?

I expected that clicking the X beside the interest to result in permanent deletion of the interest.

Other information

Have decided to set my interests to be visible to friends only until this issue is resolved and I can properly edit them into a presentable state.

I have the same problem but unfortunately have no solution...  thanks for reporting this bug...  I didn't bother myself, since this is an issue that's ultimately of little consequence to me...  when I first noticed the problem and researched it, I only found a couple of reports about it from several years ago, with no apparent solution evident at the time...  so I just figured it may have never been resolved and users are just living with this glitch...  my current "interests" listed are a joke, anyway, so they still work for me on that level, but I can see how this would be very annoying to someone actually trying to use this feature...  it's odd that the other profile sections have a "save" button but the "interests" do not...  not being IT savvy I have no idea how easy this would be for SL to fix, but I suspect since I've seen comments about this issue that are several years old that it's either an intermittent issue or it's simply not a priority right now...

Hello! I'm sorry this issue is happening! It's something we're aware of and we're currently working on a fix, which we hope will be released shortly. Have a good day!
