[BUG-227114] [EEP] Environment looks too bright underwater with disabled shaders #5507

What just happened?

The environment looks too bright.

What were you doing when it happened?

  1. Log-in to the Second Life Release 6.4.0.527723.
  2. Go to http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Bug%20Island%202/128/127/12 facing Southeast.
  3. Set your graphics preferences to low (shaders should be disabled).
  4. Observe the image.

What were you expecting to happen instead?

The far away terrain should be slightly blue and foggy. The objects should glow slightly.

Other information

This issue is reproduced on OSX, Windows.
This issue is not reproduced on the current release viewer Second Life Release 6.2.2.527338.
According to the test plan https://lindenlab.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/SLPP/pages/748323232/Environment+Rendering+conformity+test.
Test case: Underwater Rendering Test 4.

Fogging should be engaged in low and low plus.
