AKA - Why are my Catwa eyelashes white with ALM enabled.

Steps To Reproduce

  • Login on EEP nightly: Second Life Release 6.4.0.527646 (64bit)

  • Make sure ALM is enabled.

  • Rez a default box.

  • Edit box & set diffuse texture to the default blank white.

  • Set box colour to dark grey.

  • Apply any normal or specular texture to the box - the default normal or default specular texture is fine.

  • Set box transparency to 2% in the build tools.

    Observed Behaviour

  • Any object face that has a normal &/or a specular map set & transparency set via the build tool will look like it's full bright & glowing.

  • Bug only reproduces with ALM enabled.

  • Bug reproduces on default prims & on mesh & on worn rigged mesh.

  • See attached gifs.

    Expected Behaviour

Faces with materials & transparency should not be full bright & glowy with ALM enabled.

    Other Information

  • Bug does not reproduce on default release: Second Life Release 6.2.2.527338 (64bit)

  • Bug does not reproduce on the current EEP-RC build: Second Life Release 6.2.3.527250 (64bit)

  • I'm pretty sure this bug is new in this latest EEP nightly - Alexa would have noticed it on the previous build as she always wears an affected Catwa head.

Was a Projector light with Ambience in the area? If so, I think this is a dupe of BUG-226773.

FYI, there are some new lighting debug tools - "new debug tools.png"

Easier to see what's busted with non-grayscale obj color (say red).
