On the default release viewer Second Life Release 6.1.1.525446 (64bit) shadows are visible at much much larger camera distances & gradually fade out, rather then just disappearing at a certain distance.
On EEP viewers, shadows should be visible when camera is more then a couple of meters from them.

Steps To Reproduce
Set graphics settings to default ultra.
Place a default cube plus your avatar on a light surface that easily displays shadows.
Set sun position so you can easily see the shadow from the cube & your avatar eg) Midday.
Move camera close to your avatar & cube then move camera further away.
Observe how the shadow of your avatar & the cube look when moving camera away.
Compare results on the EEP nightly viewer 6.2.0.526189 (64bit) & on a legacy viewer.
Observed Behaviour
On the EEP nightly viewer, the shadows are only visible when the camera is very close to them.
When you pull camera back just a few meters the shadows are totally invisible.
See https://gyazo.com/dd9331462faa2372a02107281cd32359 showing the EEP shadows disappearing.
On the default release viewer Second Life Release 6.1.1.525446 (64bit) shadows are visible at much much larger camera distances & gradually fade out, rather then just disappearing at a certain distance.
See https://gyazo.com/755b60af3d94fc9b95ed66f395a94f2c showing shadows working correctly on default release.
Expected Behaviour
On EEP viewers, shadows should be visible when camera is more then a couple of meters from them.
