Steps To Reproduce

  • Login on legacy default release Second Life Release 6.1.0.524670 (64bit) and an EEP viewer.

  • Set environment to Midday on both viewers.

  • Observe the clouds.

    Observed Behaviour

  • On EEP viewers, the clouds get much draker as the approach the horizon line.

  • See attached images comparing Midday clouds on EEP and legacy.

  • I quite like this effect personally if it wasn't quite so strong.
I've heard others complaining about this behaviour on EEP though, so thought it was worth a JIRA.

  • Even if you set Cloud Colour to white and sun colour to white, the clouds still darken dramatically as they approach the horizon.

    Expected Behaviour

Not sure if this is a bug as such.
I'd personally like the have the clouds look slightly darker when near the horizon like but not as dark as they are now.

    Other Information

  • Also reproduces on current EEP-RC: http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Release_Notes/Second_Life_Release/6.2.0.525395

  • Does not reproduce on non-EEP viewers.
