What just happened?

Low FPS on the Test DRTVWR-440 EEP project 6.0.2.524476 viewer

What were you doing when it happened?

  1. Clear Second Life user directory so using all default settings.
  2. Log into test build and goto location ‘http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Pando/129/132/100'.
  3. Open statistics (ctrl-shift-1).
  4. Observe the fps and compare performance to release viewer (default settings).

What were you expecting to happen instead?

The fps of the test build viewer should match or exceed the fps compared to the release viewer or be within a reasonable tolerance level.

This doesn't just affect Mac, I can reproduce it only Windows system.
I have roughly 50% less FPS on EEP viewer Second Life Release 6.0.2.524752 (64bit) compared to default release.

For example, location: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Coniston/176/19/37
Identical viewer settings & camera angle.
Default LL release averaged 30 FPS.
EEP averaged 15 FPS.
