Create a new group with just yourself as the owner & only member
Or eject all members out of an older group you are sole owner of, so that you are the only member left.
Attempt to leave the group.
Observed Behaviour
When you are a group owner and you are the only remaining member in the group, you are able to leave the group so that the group has zero members.
After you have left the group & the group has zero members, the group is still visible in web search but opening the group profile just shows the group name as loading & founder as "nobody".
As soon as a group has zero members, the group disappears from legacy group search immediately.
Expected Behaviour
Unless I am going (more) crazy then normal, this is new behaviour.
Last group member who is owner is able to leave the group - bug or undocumented feature?

A warning along the lines of 'You are about to leave a group of which you are the sole member; this will result in the group being disbanded. Do you really wish to do this?' would be nice.
Just wanted to note what Rolig said in this forum thread.
If a group owns land, the group won't disband when it only has 1 member.
I wasn't actually aware of this & didn't test it to see if it's true.
However because the last member can now leave a group without waiting for it to disband, this may cause some fun if the group owns land & no-one can manage it.
FWIW, I can confirm this and it isn't new. I've found myself the last owner of a group on a few occasions over he years, and was able to leave the group with no issues. I can't say how long ago I last tried, I'm afraid. And I did this at least twice. The group(s) didn't own anything, if that matters.

It used to be impossible for the last member of a group who is group owner to manually leave the group - you had to wait for the group to disband.
