What just happened?

I am logged into secondlife.com. If I am logged into my personal, NON-SL facebook page my facebook icon appears in the SL commenting section.

If I am logged OUT of facebook. And I wanted to comment on the lovely cabin in desitinations/premium , I found I was not allowed to do so unless logged into facebook! I will attach screenshots. See the blue link that says login? click it and it says you must log in to facebook in order to post!

I had NO idea that my private life was being compromised by SL in this manner. But have recently learned that LINDEN knew of this and has done nothing to correct this gross invasion of privacy.

I would ask you to stop requiring facebook in order to use any SL property. Make it optional as other companies do but not required. For now I will never make a comment and I know others are refusing to use to comment in destinations for the same reason. If this requirement spreads to other elements of Sl I think you will lose users. Some people are anti-facebook. Im not anti-facebook but I definitely do not want one associated with the other.

What were you doing when it happened?

https://secondlife.com/destination/premium-gift-kiosk---unttan go to secondlife.com select destinations and then premium gifts. this problem is related to commenting on anything.

What were you expecting to happen instead?

I certainly was not expecting to be forced to use FB with my SL account

Other information

Stop forcing users to use facebook.

Whirley Fizzle I included the community forum link in my bug report as well. Maybe remind them that they have a private bug about this issue that has not been addressed?

The entire commenting system uses a Facebook plugin; in fact, if your screenshots were slightly lower, you'd see a link stating "Facebook Comments Plugin" that has additional details!
