I was testing the Firestorm animesh viewer and noticed "corrupted" looking horses. Thinking it was a bug in the version I was testing I asked Liz (@polysail) to check what she sees using the LL project viewer.
When she logged in she could see nothing at all.
Kyle Linden confirmed that he could see two horses (but was running a different (not animesh) project viewer)
to check if this was a Liz specific issue, I relogged using the project viewer and also found that I could see no horses.
Liz meanwhile relogged on the normal (non-animesh) firestorm and found both horses.
What were you doing when it happened?
Two mesh horses failing to render on the LL animesh project viewer
As seen in FS animesh viewer
and as seen in Firestorm release
What were you expecting to happen instead?
all viewers to see the same things
Other information
non-Animesh viewers are showing two horses
The FS Animesh build (which is 3 weeks behind the current LL axon tip) shows just one with a very peculiarly distended tail.
LL Project viewer shows no horses at all.
In all cases, it is not possible to walk through them as the server knows that they are there and have physics.

As best I can tell the UUID of the root is 6b13815e-bb9e-f350-d847-2d46504ca9b2 (it will have vanished on the 24-hour return before this ticket gets examined)
I have asked Tyrian Slade - the creator of the product - for some information.
I suspect that the reason I see one in FS is that it is rigged and both horses as seen in the image above (which are part of the same linkset) collapse on to the single skeleton. In a non-Animesh viewer, you will see the two.
One possible reason for the invisibility in the project viewer would be if it employs a practice that is not fully supported by the lab viewer such as rigging to attachment points. Hopefully Tyrian can add some colour to this.
