Right-click on the attached object and select 'Edit'.
Select 'Texture' tab and click on texture preview.
Select 'Bake' radio button.
Select any Bake texture.
Open 'Inventory' floater and drag&drop any non-bake texture to the Bake texture pick.
Actual Behavior
The Bake texture drop-down value changes to 'None', but the Bake texture pick is still active and the non-bake texture is shown in the preview window.
Expected Behavior
If a user chooses drag & drop texturing from inventory, the radio button should immediately return to Inventory texture picking interface and cease using Bakes.
