Steps to Reproduce

1.) Log in using the maintenance release candidate viewer 4.0.6.316614.

2.) Buy this bed off the marketplace for L$ 1 - https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/FUCKTASTIC-Sex-Bed/1082280 . It is important to note that this bed is NOT the only item i see this bug with. I have MANY scripted objects i experience this bug with. The bug does not happen on ALL scripted objects, but it occurs for me on MANY. This particular bed is simply for reproducing the bug with ease.

3.) Rez the bed and wait for the scripts to load. Observe the chat from the scripts in nearby chat.

4.) Right click on the bed and go into edit mode, be on the General tab for the object then go to the Build > Scripts menu at the top of the screen and press Reset Scripts.

5.) Observe how the popup window opens that says "Starting reset of 5 items" but the scripts supposedly reset are not listed as they should be then "Done" is shown underneath. See the attached picture called "Failed Reset". Observe how there was no chat from the scripts in local chat during the reset either as there was when the scripts were first initialized on rez.

6.) Close out the reset scripts popup window then go to the Contents tab of the bed. Observe how no scripts are listed in the contents window. Now repeat the attempt to reset the scripts via the Build > Scripts menu. Observe the same results as in step 5. Close the reset scripts popup again.

7.) Select "Edit Linked" in the edit floater and then select the bedspread of the bed and then go to the Contents tab. Wait for the scripts and other contents to load in the contents window. Then attempt to reset the scripts via the Build > Scripts menu again and observe how this time, the reset actually happens with the names of each script being reset shown in the reset scripts popup before "Done" is shown and also observe the chat in local from the scripts due to a successful reset. See the attached picture called "Successful Reset".

8.) Log out and then log in again with the current official release 4.0.5.315117.

9.) Enter edit mode on the bed and stay on the General tab and attempt to reset the scripts via the Build > Scripts menu again and observe how the reset is successful when done while in the general tab of the edit floater. The scripts successfully reset are shown in the reset popup and chat is shown from the scripts in local chat.

10.) Repeat step 9 but this time have the edit floater on the Contents tab with no scripts visible and the reset is still successful.

It should be noted that the same problem occurs when setting scripts to either running or not running in the object as well.

Actual Behavior

On the maintenance viewer 4.0.6.316614, for many scripted items, going into the Contents tab and having the scripts desired to be reset visible in the Contents tab is required for the reset to be successful. This bug does NOT exist on the current official release 4.0.5.315117.

Expected Behavior

It should not be necessary to make the scripts desired to be reset visible in the Contents tab of the edit floater for script resetting to be successful. This problem does not exist on the current official release 4.0.5.315117.

Other information

It is important to note that this bed is NOT the only item i see this bug with. I have MANY scripted objects i experience this bug with. The bug does not happen on ALL scripted objects, but it occurs for me on MANY. This particular bed is simply for reproducing the bug with ease. It should be noted that the same problem occurs when setting scripts to either running or not running in the object as well.

Hi Jenkins,

Will you please try to reproduce this bug on the latest Maintenance build which you may download from:
http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Release_Notes/Second_Life_Release/4.0.6.316883

I have not been able to reproduce this issue on build 316883 on either Win7 64 bit or Mac 10.11.5

Please press the Info Provided button when done.

Thanks!

I can reproduce this some of the time now too depending on the number of scripts. Investigating internally.
Thanks!
