Steps to Reproduce

On Agni, right click on rigged mesh(with weighted bento bones) that is attached to avatar, choose edit.

Actual Behavior

Testing my mesh rigged mesh(with Bento bone weights) on Agni, when I click to edit mesh the wireframe looks all weird where the vertices are weighted to the new bones, like in the picture attached.

Expected Behavior

The wireframe should show exactly how it is when you're not in edit mode. Also, wireframe mode shows correctly.

Other information

I did not notice it happen Aditi. Only on Agni. I uploaded the exact same mesh to Agni, with include skin weights checked(all lod's were left alone in the uploader dialog)--although this happens whether or not you change the LOD's.

It has happened to every mesh I uploaded to Agni that has extended(bento) bone weights.

The wireframe only shows like that when it's attached to the avatar. If I just rezz the mesh to the ground it looks fine.

I have attached the standard SL avatar head mesh, rigged to the new bones. The screenshot is from my own head mesh so it's a different .dae, however it happens with both.

This doesn't reproduce on my system when ALM is enabled or disabled.
http://image.prntscr.com/image/6e835279c3b24a98ac9183b627e7573a.png

Do you only see the problem when Advanced Lighting model is ticked in graphics preferences?
I suspect this may be AMD specific & possibly related to BUG-7947
BUG-7947 still reproduces with the latest Crimson AMD drivers when ALM is enabled.

It happens whether or not I have Advanced Lighting Model checked. Different than the BUG 7947 above that you posted(which yes happens to me too).

Just found something else out, if I turn off "Basic Shaders" in the Advanced Graphics Preferences, the model will show up distorted whether or not I'm in edit mode. Also if I turn off "Avatar Hardware Skinning" it's distorted..so it seems to be related to that option.

Hi Krystal. If I'm reading the coordinates right, this was tested 4000m above ground level. Does this bug reproduce at ground level?

Yes, it happens no matter where I'm at, different sims, different heights..

Bug does not reproduce on my Windows 10 system with Intel graphics either.
Looks like its probably an issue with hardware skinniung on AMD cards?

Problem not seen here, in either Agni or Aditi, using the Cool VL Viewer (experimental, Bento-enabled branch), under Linux with a GTX 970 with NVIDIA drivers v370.28:

On my Nvidia system, the only thing this bug has reproduced with is the puppy paws from issue BUG-40672.
I only see the odd selection outlines when ALM is enabled.
I suspect this may be a different cause then this original bug though because the puppy paws are broken on Bento viewers anyway.
