There have been several people (Windows & Mac) reporting that their first session on a QuickGraphics enabled viewer had the Maximum Complexity setting defaulting to No Limit.
This problem is also being seen by Firestorm testers.
I may revise this repro as I'm not sure all steps are necessary to reproduce.
For now I'll list the exact steps I did that reproduce the issue.
Steps to Reproduce
Uninstall default release if you have it installed by running the uninstaller.
Delete SecondLife cache folder at C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\SecondLife
Delete SecondLife settings folder at C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\SecondLife
Go to Preferences -> Graphics & observe your Maximum Complexity setting.
Observed Behaviour
The Maximum Complexity setting is set to "No Limit".
See Fig 1 attached.
Log attached from the session I reproduced this.
After relogging, the Maximum Complexity setting is still at "No Limit"
Clicking the "Reset to recommended settings" button in graphics preferences correctly sets Maximum Complexity to 80k.
Clicking the "Default" prest option again sets the Maximum Complexity to "No Limit"
The Default preset is NOT correct, it is also setting my graphics quality setting to Ultra.
See Fig 2 attached.
It appears that the Default graphics preset takes the default settings to be what you had set at first login on the QuickGraphics viewer?
Expected behaviour
Maximum Complexity setting should not default to No Limit after updating the viewer.
The Deafult preset should set the same settings as the "Reset to recommended settings" button.
[QuickGraphics] Maximum Complexity defaults to No Limit on first run of a QuickGraphics viewer.

Login on a pre-QuickGraphics viewer, I used http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Release_Notes/Second_Life_Release/3.7.28.300847
Set graphics quality to Ultra in Preferences -> Graphics (possibly not a necessary step).
Log out.
The above steps are to make sure you have saved settings from a viewer without the QuickGraphics code and no QuickGraphics settings stored.
Download latest release from https://secondlife.com/support/downloads/ and install it.
Go to Preferences -> Graphics & observe your Maximum Complexity setting.
