Steps to Reproduce

As stated above, when camera is positioned on objects or avatars near or far and then returned to the "default" via, I find my avatar mesh is missing vectors and looks primitive and deformed.

Actual Behavior

Since last SL viewer upgrade, my mesh avatar and clothing gets deformed on a consistent basis when I zoom camera away from myself and then return to standard avatar view.

Expected Behavior

8+ year user of SL. I expect all technologies introduced to SL, such as sculpties and mesh,to work flawlessly with SL's proprietary viewer.

Do the glitches you are seeing now, look like the ones illustrated in BUG-7239 ?

Yes, very similar. Mesh is not loading, or not loading completely. Avatar is deformed and clothing looks tattered/ripped; mesh fingers look like whittled sticks.

Can you attach some screenshots to this JIRA issue showing how your avatar should look and how it looks after zooming the camera out and back?
You can attach images to this issue using More Actions -> Attach files.

Is there one particular mesh avatar that reproduces this problem or do any mesh attachments reproduce it for you?
If there is one particular mesh that reproduces the problem very easily, can you give a marketplace link to this item or the item name and the creator name.
Thanks!

Two snapshots attached. One showing the deformed mesh avatar, the other showing normal appearance after relogging into SL. Deformation of avatar took place after teleport into a new region. No other remedy to fix appearance other than to relog.

An even better example of how deformed my mesh avatar becomes.

Hmm, that does very much look like the BUG-7239 problem.
That bug is supposed to be fixed now.

Did this problem definitely start for you after your viewer updated to Second Life 4.0.1 (310054)?
Did the BUG-7239 set of fixes possibly get broken in that last viewer merge?

What mesh body is the shown in your images?
Can you give a marketplace link for it, or if not, the name of the mesh body & the creator name.
Thanks!

The mesh is L'uomo "Scott" and the problem became severe upon the release of Second Life version 4.0.1.310054 (4.0.1.310054). I would say 1 in every 6 teleports causes the deformation and the only remedies are: 1. relogging; 2. removing all mesh articles and then reattaching them.

Thanks!

I doubt this is a specific problem with this mesh avatar & I suspect it's BUG-7239 again tbh.

Ok I can easily reproduce that.

When the mesh deforms after a teleport, if you right click on the mesh, it will instantly make it pop back into shape.
Bug also reproduces sometimes when you cam far away from the avatar for a couple of minutes and then reset camera view with ESC.

After teleport:

Fixed with a right click:

Reproduced on Firestorm 4.7.5 and LL viewer.

Also to note. sometimes when the deformation occurs, just moving camera view slightly fixes the problem.
Other times, the mesh just starys stuck in its deformed state until you right click it though - it's very random.

Thank you for reporting this issue. We're going to treat this as a discrete problem, even though it may well be a duplicate of BUG-7329.
