It may sound a bit strange but this is actually a request that you do not "fix" something that seems to be a bug.
When you upload a mesh with more than eight faces, it is split into several meshes, each retaining the physical center of the original model. I assume that technically is bug. However, intended or not, it is something that is potentially very useful since it opens up for a relatively easy way to create mesh doors and other rotating object with the rotation point at an edge rather than at the center.
He only reason why we can't use this feature yet is that we have no guarantee it won't be changed in the future. So the question is, can we keep it?

We do not intend to change this behavior. If you have specific use cases that are broadly important to content creation please file a Feature Request for such a change.
Steps to Reproduce
It may sound a bit strange but this is actually a request that you do not "fix" something that seems to be a bug.

Expected Behavior
I expected uploader generated sub-meshes to act as perfectly normal meshes of course but, as I said, I'd rather they don't _
