Last week I created a proxy service to resolve name to key and vice versa from the search and world.secondlife.com services. While the name2key portion based on the search works great for virtually every avatar, there seems to be some issues with world.secondlife.com/resident/ while looking up profiles.
For this I will use some of the keys from the beloved linden staff.
It seems to be associated with older avatars who have not logged in for awhile. Find a good batch of 2006 avatars with nothing in their profile and you are bound to find a lot that don't resolve.
While this normally shouldn't be an issue, this is a handy way to resolve keys into avatars without needing to utilize an in world object. If we could get an explanation for this behavior, or hopefully have them all resolve it would be great.

Admittedly result is a bit different when the avatar's profile is not available on the web (when it is there is a big link at the top).
