TigroSpottystripes, the "bug thing" already sends you automatic messages signed by Milo Linden that tell you that your bug report is "outdated* (i.e. the Lindens did nothing with it) and if it is still operative, you can go refile it on the JIRA.
Nothing like that was done with the FVT, but it strikes me that it is not a substitute for my concerns addressed in WEB-399. What's needed is not to fold the FVT into the JIRA, but to take the FVT out of the JIRA, as the JIRA is unsuitable. As Web-399 notes, the old FVT, whatever its faults, had: o simple, clearcut interface with just a name and a box Notification is great as a very minimal civic response to the destruction of democracy and user content inherent in the killing of the FVT, but it's not enough to resurrect the functioning tool again in a meaningful way. Hi! I earlier did send out a notification email to the effect of "send a msg to the people that voted on the stuff as well letting them know it is going to be placed on jira", so that got done.
I also emailed & IMed a lot of Residents personally and encouraged them to migrate their FVT issues to this Issue Tracker months ago. Anyone who needs to look up old FVT info can do so here: » http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://secondlife.com/vote Resolving as "Won't Finish" based on the summary – since the desired implementation is unfeasible – altho some of this actually was finished. Torley, I'm sorry, I have no recollection of receiving such notifications :/
that archived version doesn't seem to work all that well, for example, I can't log in to get all the stuff I proposed, and the search doesn't work either :/

If this is implemented, will probably have to be done manually to prevent duplicates, as some old FVT issues have been manually entered by users here in JIRA.
