Sync'd with internal issue on this subject.
"Next week, we'll get an estimate for when automatic synchronization will be in place..." Any update?
Also, am I correct in thinking that fixing this would also fix the problem of not automatically watching issues that you create? I remember a comment to that effect, but apparently that's not in this issue. Sorry, there have been a lot of delays in getting this out. and I don't have a clear answer on exactly when this will happen. It is very close now, though, running in a test environment with the latest version of JIRA (3.12.1). I've asked our provider to propose a time to upgrade the system, but I haven't heard back on this yet. I hope that it will be in the next week or two, but I don't have confirmation of that.
Celierra: With respect to automatically watching issues: you should already automatically receive emails on issues you create or issues that are assigned to you. You aren't added to the watchlist for the issue, thus you will still see the "watch it" link, but that shouldn't matter. Are you finding that you aren't receiving emails for issues you create? I just tried it, and it works (I get an e-mail regardless of whether it's on my watchlist); thanks.
The upgrade from this morning addressed this issue.
