JIRA has support for a Watch List feature - http://www.atlassian.com/software/jira/docs/latest/voterswatchers.html

Which can be turned on by a setting in the administrators configuration page - http://www.atlassian.com/software/jira/docs/latest/configure.html

Also, as an aside, the "My Votes" portlet is similarly helpful in tracking issues. - http://www.atlassian.com/software/jira/docs/v3.10/default_dashboard.html

oh, while we're at it

"Issues I've Reported"/"Issues I've Commented On"/"Watchlist" could show you if they've been updated since you last looked at them.

Could just show a date, but it would be nicer if they were bold, or had a little icon next to them.

I'm considering the "Issues I've Commented On" - Resolved, because you can customize your dashboard and include a portlet for "Issues I've Voted On", which I find more helpful.

Watchlisting and notifications are features of JIRA though that are not currently enabled on this JIRA - http://www.atlassian.com/software/jira/docs/latest/voterswatchers.html

I'll revise the request, to be more specific.

Lex: I assume the description was changed since you made you comment as this is clearly not now a Atlassian feature request, but is LL's.

Rob: Issues I've commented on is not covered by the Votes filter, see the related feature request I posted for filter "Updated Issues I have Commented On." There is a workaround: sign every comment and then create a custom filter for Rob Kubrick's comments. Issues Voted on is inadequate, because I am usually more keen to monitor the progress of issues I wish I could vote against.

This is indeed fixed. See caveat on ~~WEB-58~~, though. Users signing in for the first time after 12pm PDT (noon) on 2007-09-21 (Friday) will not have this functionality until we manually resync.
