 Description  « Hide
Avatar appearance glitch when using appearance editor:

Changing avatar's clothing appearance causes undesired effects when modifying all clothing layers. Sleeve lengths doesn't change, pants length doesn't change, gloves give "full body" outfit texture. This has been evident in the previous nVidia graphics drivers.

Changes appear when viewed from an alternate account, but are immediately lost upon rebaking avatar textures of the avatar making the changes.

Rolling back video drivers to previous known working set from June 2007 fixes this issue. However updating and rolling back video drivers to play other games is most undesirable.

There are known avatar rendering issues for version 177 and 178 drivers:
  • VWR-7957 (Clothing skinning error on nVidia)
  • VWR-9358 (Texture rendering problem Nvidia 178.13 release drivers)
  • VWR-8261 (With some clothes, viewer renders buttocks and legs totally white)

The following workaround has been reported:

  • Enable the Advanced Menu (Ctrl-Alt-D)
  • Disable rendering of Palletized Textures (Ctrl-Alt-F7, or Advanced/Rendering/Features/Palletized Textures)
  • Rebake (Ctrl-Alt-R)
