The last three version of the regular client has been hogging memory like crazy for me. I've searched the jira for similar issues but not found any being quite like this one.

After I've logged in the client uses about 88 Mb of RAM. That then steadily increases, slowing down at 500-600 Mb, but still continuing until all the memory that's left is eaten. Then the whole computer freezes and the harddrive works like crazy for a few seconds up to several minutes. When things comes back to life it only lasts a few seconds before it freezes again while the harddrive clatters. The whole cycle repeats until you either managed to kill the client or reboot the computer.

It severly limits what you can do and how long you can run Second Life.
