 Description  « Hide
Viewer becomes slower up to a level that functioning is impossible and screen blacks out and very slowly swaps between a screenshot, the actual viewer and black again. Processor speed is normal, Memory consumption seems to be normal (up to 600000K), but computer is completely consumed by SL.

Problem occurs (very much) faster when zooming far in with the camera.

Other than the "memory consumption seems normal" I'd say you were looking at something very similar to VWR-8841...although on 1.20 I'd expect to see VWR-3943 symptoms, which you are not.

Are you sure about that memory number? I'm having a good day in SL when my Virtual Size is like 1.5 gigabytes, and a crash is about to happen when it gets to 2 gig. How you are getting it to run in 600 meg I'd like to know...

Thanks for this report Roland. However, can you provide us with more information?

a) does this reproduce 100% of the time?
b) how long from logging in fresh does it take for the slowdown to occur-- and until "functioning is impossible"?
c) are there specific repro steps or particular locations where you are observing this? For example, repro steps might begin:

>> "1. First, disable camera constraints in the Advanced menu.
>> 2. Move your view around a store with lots of textures...."
... But those are just a guess. Please let us know what kinds of viewer activity you do when this bug occurs.
