Despite wasting time following the recommended steps to recover lost inventory I keep loosing valuable items. These are items that I bought, build or , last but not least, got from friends. I own these items. It is my job to take care of them. And it is my job to loose them. There has to be a way to save them on my harddrive. I'm becoming moore and moore reluctant to buying new things.

There is a third-party software called SLInventory that will do this for you now.
