 Description  « Hide
brand new install of SL viewer. no user folder. I mean clean install. Run SL in a window:
Search works correctly

Change SL Viewer to run "Full Screen":
All search; Showcase Search; Groups Search; In-World Browser STOP functioning.

Change SL view back to "run in a Window":
Searches described above still not functional.

Quit SL Viewer; Delete the user preferences folder; Restart SL; Operate SL in a window (do not change to "full screen"):
Searches described above are now functional.

Summary:
It seems once you run your system in "Full Screen" mode, those searches stop functioning.
Even if you change back to "window" the searches do not come back.
Only deleting the preferences folder (like a complete clean install (no preferences folder)) will restore the Searches to full function.

JeanPaul, this is a known issue please see VWR-6000

It is fixed in the latest RC which can be downloaded here http://secondlife.com/support/downloads.php Test Viewers > Release Candidate Viewers

Please note the RC is a test viewer and is completely optional; see Ramzi Linden's comments here http://forums.secondlife.com/showthread.php?t=280394
