*I crash immediately after logging into Second Life.
*I have wanted to play second life for a long time but have never had a computer capable of running it. I finally got one and was totally excited but I cannot log in. Which sucks.
*I have turned all of my graphics preferences to thier lowest settings
*I have tried every solution that I can find relating to this issue on forum posts from many different forums (yes I changed the settings back when it didn't resolve the issue)
*Yes, I have the latest drivers from ATI
*Sometimes I can log in for a minute or two but most times it just crashes immediately after logging in

Please help me fix this. I have been looking forward to playing Second Life for quite a while now.

Unfortunately, when the game crashes it doesn't give me an option to save the SecondLife log and crash report it just asks if I want to send it, then sends it.

Also, according to the system test my drivers are as shown below

Your driver version number is: 6.14.10.6844

I thought I updated to the latest version...but perhaps not if 8.8 is the latest. However, I have retraced my steps on the ATI site and this is the version they are saying is the latest.

Nevermind, I figured out how to find the crash logs. Here it is.

Thank you for your feedback, Jonas

Please try clean install of the ATI Catalyst 8.7 ; it seems like you are having the same issue that has been reported on VWR-8717

Actually, that's what I did right after posting this last time lol...just for kicks...it worked great! This issue is resolved for now. I was coming back to tell you I had figured it out. Thanks very much for your help.

Thank you Jonas

As this appears to be an issue caused by the latest ATI Catalyst 8.8 resolving in favour of the main issue VWR-8717, which is being investigated by LL developers.

Pleased you got SL working, Jonas )
