 Description  « Hide
Multiple issues currently affecting the group chat moderation in the RC (Second Life 1.21.0 (95157) Aug 26 2008 16:37:31 (Second Life Release Candidate)):
  • Moderators should not be allowed to revoke the right for textchat for other moderators in group chat
  • No one needs to be allowed to revoke the right for textchat of themself in group chat
  • Revoking the right for textchat for a person in group chat should be permanent and not become disabled when the agent closes and reopens the group chat window. (making the feature meaningless)

additional:

  • Give groupmembers the ability to select a priority level from where they'd like to receive messages from.
    • [x] only high priority -> only messages from group owners
    • [x] medium priority -> only messages from group owners AND from people who's role got a medium priority flag
    • [x] low priority -> all chat
      with "low priority" beeing the default option (or switchable in the role settings).

Kicking somebody out of group used to be the only way to get rid of people spamming. They can just rejoin there is no way to keep a spammer out of a group. When moderating the group chat and taking away their rights it would also be best if they could not just leave and rejoin to get their right to chat back.
