Please report this through the security issue reporting process if you can reproduce it.

I have also had this experience. I recently received a group IM, from a person in a different sim from me, who is not on my friendslist, and does not belong to ANY groups I am, or have ever been, a member of - including the group from which I received an IM.
It is hard to see how this is NOT related to other issues of IMs going astray. Either IMs are secure to the people/groups you send them to, or they are not - it is not for us, the users, to determine how technical bugs relate to one another. The ENTIRE ISSUE of IMs being sent astray is very serious, but one which nobody appears to be taking very seriously at all. I would also like to add, to Gigs above - WHAT security issue reporting process, please? And since it is impossible to reproduce this bug, does that mean it is just going to be ignored and there is nothing anyone can do about it? I had this happen also, but like
I have a few times received Group IMs from Groups I'm no member of, and all times it was a ridiculously
I also received this today, again from a person I've never had any contact with and a group I've never joined, let alone heard of.
I had a problem where I was in a private IM with someone and i twas shared with people one of whom was on neithter friend list and confidential information was shared ... I reported the bug but again had no way of repeating the bug
Hi Ann, are you still experiencing this using the latest Release Candidate?
I haven't observed this in a while. I do hope it is fixed because it basically caused me to lose all trust in Secondlife's IM system and I have to discuss business outside of Secondlife. A habit I doubt I will break now that I have developed it. It is not a good thing when you lose trust in IM privacy.
