This is not occurring for me, can you provide more environment information like OS you are running?
windows xp sp2, radeon driver 8.5. 2 gig ram. basicly, camera control work normally until i eneable anti aliasing. then they get whacked. turn aa off, and everything is back to normal.
I have the same problem.
Camera movement is fine when antialiasing is disabled. When i enable antialiasing 2x or 4x the fokus of the camera movement get all whacky, spins on zoom, and sometimes it feels af if theres a planar in fromt of you (but there is nothing there, checked with transparant object view on). This happens in any SIm. Disabling antialiasing again turns the camera movement back to normal. This is highly annoying when wanting to make sharp antialiased highrez snapshots. So i am upgrading the priority. Graphic driver is udated 2 days ago. Second Life 1.20.10 (89467) Jun 10 2008 18:17:42 (Second Life Release Candidate) CPU: Intel Pentium 4 (Unknown model) (2992 MHz) Even without anti-lasting the camera acts the same way, doing nothing but circling the avatar to the point SL is nearly un-usable. These are my specs:
CPU: Intel Core Series Processor (1866 MHz) This is still a problem in the 1.20.12.
I am experiencing this problem too. Here are my system specs:
Second Life 1.20.13 (91658) Jul 8 2008 16:01:06 (Second Life Release Candidate) You are at 255710.9, 256669.2, 59.8 in Lusk located at sim3356.agni.lindenlab.com (216.82.21.91:12035) CPU: AMD Athlon64 (SanDiego) (2499 MHz) ATI Catalyst version: 8.6 Thanks for these reports. We will investigate.
This problem still occurs in the latest stable viewer.
Second Life 1.20.15 (92456) Jul 18 2008 10:58:42 (Second Life Release) This problem still occurs in the latest Release Candidate viewer.
Second Life 1.21.0 (95157) Aug 26 2008 16:03:19 (Second Life Release Candidate) This problem still exist with the version 1.20.16.97603 (27.09.08)
My System: How i fixed it: Problem exists in client 1.21.6 (99587)
CPU: Intel Pentium 4 Willamette (1993 MHz) It may not be an ATI/AMD problem, PCGtussi. Is there anyone out there who has this problem with an nVidia card? I had the same problem today after upgrading my Mobility Radeon X700 card's drivers to the latest Catalyst 9.2. Hoping to start using (old) Windlight without yellow clouds, I lost alt-camera, heh
Turning anti-aliasing off does solve the issue. It's a bad trade-off since I do photography in world. I don't know exactly which drivers version I had before - my laptop uses brand-specific drivers so they weren't updated for long, I had the last update from their website and it reads "ATI 6.14.10.6543". Today, like I said, I updated to the latest 9.2 Catalyst drivers, as per Ralf's last post in WWR-3230 Second Life 1.21.6 (99587) Oct 14 2008 17:42:25 (Second Life Release) You are at 192394.1, 293586.6, 23.4 in Kzer Za located at sim7282.agni.lindenlab.com (8.10.146.30:13002) CPU: Intel Pentium M Series Processor (1995 MHz) libcurl Version: libcurl/7.16.4 OpenSSL/0.9.7c zlib/1.2.3 Fax, please would you check for an update to your Windows OS to SP3 as recommended by ATI and also please try the latest RC Viewer which can be downloaded from here Release Candidate Test Viewers
Thank you : ) Thank you for your help, Ellla, it is working fine now
SP3 alone wasn't enough, I still had the same issue with the latest stable Second Life 1.21.6. Installing the latest RC Viewer, however, fixed the problem. New picking system, eh? Well done My specs now: Second Life 1.22.10 (112620) Feb 20 2009 17:25:43 (Second Life Release Candidate) You are at 248390.4, 248340.9, 43.3 in Apollo located at sim5031.agni.lindenlab.com (8.2.32.32:12035) CPU: Intel Pentium M Series Processor (1995 MHz) Fax, thank you for your feedback : )
