I am sorry guys, but version 1.20.8 is no way near as good for me as the 1.20.6. Please can we go back to that recipe??! Some of my inworld are friends are getting a pissed at me because they are thinking that I am pretending to crash just to get away from them, when really the system keeps crashing with absolutely no warning whatsoever. It is happening on average every 20 minutes, but sometimes after only 10 minutes, sometimes is OK for 35 mins.
Thank you for fixing my previous bug issues by the way. Sorry to be a pain in the ass!

Marigold, do you have the same crashes in the official viewer 1.19.1.4 ? Do they happen in the same location ? Does 1.20.8 crash when you are doing the same things tp'ng / building / dancing ?

Please run the DirectX Diagnostic Tool and attach the text file to this issue

Click Start > (in start search) Type dxdiag > Click on the programme > Save All Information

Also, please attach your latest crash report

An update:
Marigold, do you have the same crashes in the official viewer 1.19.1.4 ? Do they happen in the same location ? Does 1.20.8 crash when you are doing the same things tp'ng / building / dancing ?
Answer: I can't even use the official viewer 1.19.1.4. That always crashes before it even allows me to have the log in page. I uninstalled everything, cleaned up the computer fully, reinstalled the main viewer, but nope, it crashed again. Its why I installed the RC viewer.
The crashes I have with RC1.20.8 are totally random, often without warning, in the middle of chat, in the middle of doing nothing at all, just totally randomly. Its a puzzle isn't it.

Please run the DirectX Diagnostic Tool and attach the text file to this issue
Attached - hope it helps.

Also, please attach your latest crash report
I constantly send in crash reports. I let them come in to you automatically, every time I crash. You should have loads of these at your end.

I hope I have now submitted enough information. Are other people having similar problems? I think they must be. I see other people coming and going online offline all the time on my screen so it must be a pretty common issue.

Good luck !!!! And thanx for looking into this for me. Off to get some Ibuprofen now. Uurrghh my head hurts!

Marigold, thank you for your feedback Thank you for the dxdiag log. That is not reporting any obvious problems and it shows your driver is recent and is Version: 7.15.0011.7516 (English)

Yes there are other residents crashing with 1.20.8 but it is mainly on Macs or with ATI cards. There was some freezing/crashing with Nvidia cards see VWR-6733 , particularly the comment by Periapse Linden - 20/May/08 03:03 PM but 1.20.8 seems alot more stable for Nvidia cards than previous RCs.

It is unusual for 1.19.4 to crash, especially on the login screen; do you get an error message ?

You could try turning down your Graphics in Preferences to Mid or Low in both 1.19.1.4 and 1.20.8

Thank you for sending in your crash reports automatically. It would be very helpful for this issue if you could attach the latest Crash Report.for 1.20.8 and either a Crash Report or Second Life log for 1.19.1.4. There might be something in the logs that the developers can use to pinpoint the cause of the crashing.

Once again, thank you for your feedback, Marigold

Ellla, crashing on the 1.19.4 viewer is common for allot of people, hence why LL released isntructions for reverting back to 1.19.1 on the blog. as for the rc there are numbrous numberous people like me crashing for no reason. the logs dont show anything obvious other then obscene amounts of memory leaks and bad vairables. and as Marigold pointed out you can be sitting there doing nothing at all and boom it goes down. Again I can only say that Linden Labs needs to stop rushing out releases and take the time to thoughly clean up the coding and do some obvious bug hunts BEFORE fostering it off on the public.
