Description

« Hide

even while installing as the english version the Viewer (RC 8) is a bad german translation.
Please fix this.. If i select english while installing the RC i have a badly translated german
Version of the viewer. I understand that you like to help people from outside US but this
tranlations is more fun than helpfull. Even if may english grammar is not 100% the german
translation is only "funny" !

please let me have the english viewer back ..

as this issue is mainly complaining about the poor translation, I've reopened it.

how to get English back on RC8 -

just select English in your preferences, it will change to English upon next restart of the viewer.

However, as this issue is relating to the translation being poor - it is an issue for those who are native speakers who would need this client to be better translated, and therefore isn't a dupe of ~~VWR-7330~~ and VWR-7345, merely related to them, the ruckus of the installation ending up in a German default having caused a native speaker to realise that the translation is poor.

as the translation is not specifically a 1.20 issue (shared in all versions of the viewer), changed to Source Code.

While there are still some localization issues left, the majority of the translations in question have been replaced with better ones. Therefor closing this issue as fixed. The alternative for the "fixed" resolution would probably be "Needs more info".
