System skirt textures turn invisible on wearing

My avatar cannot wear any skirts, as soon as i chose to wear one, it appears for a second and vanishes, not to return. it will show that Iam wearing it, but no matter how long i wait,,,,,, no skirt!!,,, also experiencing screen flashes...this has been a problem for a while, yes, cleared chashe, tried everything, help....my avi's hind end is cold.....burrrrrr
