A couiple weeks ago I had cataract surgery.
Today I logged in for the first time since the surgery and found there was a new viewer available, so installed it (1.20.0 (84432) Apr 9 2008 03:59:09 (Second Life Release Candidate))
I am having a great deal of difficulty reading the new "lighter" color scheme. You have gone from a viewer with a very high contrast color scheme to one with very low contrast. Instead of white letters on a dark blue background, you have dark grey letters on a light bluish-grey background. Even worse, the buttons are shaded so that there is a darker band going right throug the area where the text is displayed, making that area even harder to read because there is even less contrast. This makes it EXTREMELY DIFFICULT to use the system. I had to stop using the release candidate and go back to using the latest official release.
Could you go back to a color scheme that is more accessible to people with visual disabilities? Or better yet, could you add a preference option to switch between the "classic" and "new" color schemes? Maybe even an editor to let us define our own color schemes?
Thanks.
