apologies for posting this again, but I did just earlier and it has vanished - and I am too tired to write it all out again. Just to say that the removal of this essential communication tool was utterly senseless, and I'm begging LL to reinstate it as life without it is a giant hassle and is making me very very tired We NEED to see when someone replies to an IM - what is the point otherwise ? It's like an answerphone that doesn't flash when there is a message, or an email inbox where the unread emails can't be told apart from the read emails. Just useless.
