Was required to download new viewer today when logging in, so I downloaded it and tried to run it. It froze without getting as far as the login screen. I had to reboot my computer as the viewer was Not Responding and I could not end it. I started viewer again and was prompted to send a crash report which I did, then the viewer froze again and was Not Responding, and I had to reboot the computer again. I emptied the cache folder and uninstalled and reinstalled. I tried to run the viewer again, bypassed the prompt to send a crash report, and the viewer froze again. Once again I had to reboot.

I can't get this viewer to run. Thanks.

I've also tried uninstalling and reinstalling according to the steps in the knowledge base but it's still doing the same thing. The viewer will start, it will try to send a crash report, and then it will freeze, forcing me to reboot the computer. I've also tried to run older viewers and even third party viewers and they are not working either. Sometimes they say I am missing a file called "openjpeg.dll" which I cannot find anywhere on my machine.

Your Jira says 1.19.1.4 . Is this an error? The client released today is 1.20.0

If you're not using it, try 1.20 http://secondlife.com/community/downloads-optional.php

If you are using it, try the main release client, which is 1.19.1.4 http://secondlife.com/support/downloads.php

It was 1.19.1.4. I was doing this in the early morning after not logging in world for over a week.

Hi Brenda, are you still experiencing this problem after updating to the latest Release Candidate?
